How do I get directions to Raging Waters?
Please click here for directions to the park from the San Francisco Bay Area and surrounding areas. If you are using a GPS system we recommend using Capitol Expressway and Tully Road as the destination.

How much is parking?
All parking is operated by the City of San Jose at Lake Cunningham Regional Park. Parking booths at the Lake Cunningham Entrances are Cash Only. Self-service pay stations are located throughout the parking lots and accept credit cards or cash. Current rates are $6.00 per car and $18.00 per bus. Premium Rates are $10.00 per car and $30.00 per bus. Premium Days include Mother’s Day, Memorial Day, Father’s Day, Weekends in July, and Labor Day. All prices are subject to change. How can I pay for admission, food, and souvenirs?
Raging Waters accepts cash, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express cards at the Main Entrance Ticket booths, Oasis Gift Shop, and most food locations. Some snack locations only accept cash. Admission tickets, Season Passes, and Meal Deals are also available to purchase online. Once inside the park, there is an ATM located inside the Oasis Gift Shop next to the main plaza fountain.

Can I bring in my own food and drinks?
We do allow plastic water bottles, but no other outside food, beverages, or glass containers are allowed inside the park. Raging Waters has a wide selection of food to choose from; such as hamburgers, french fries, pizza, fresh salads and fruit, sandwiches, hot dogs, chicken, ice cream, soft drinks, popcorn, funnel cakes, and cotton candy.

Do I still have to pay if I'm not going to get in the water?
Yes, an admission ticket is required to enter the park. Don't worry, besides the thrills and chills of the waterslides, there are plenty of less daring attractions including the Lazy River and Wave Pool. For guests with special needs, please call us at (408) 238-9900 for information regarding accessibility and accommodations.

When is the best time to visit Raging Waters?
Anytime during our operating season is a great time to visit. The warmer temperatures typically bring more guests so we recommend arriving early in the day.

What if I forget something at home?
If you forget something at home, please check in the Oasis Gift Shop! The Oasis features Raging Waters logo merchandise along with beach towels, swim diapers, sunscreen, film, and batteries, just to name a few items.

Are there height requirements for any of the rides?
Yes. Most of our attractions have a height and weight requirement to participate. These requirements can be found on the Attractions page of our website. The requirements are also on the Safety Rules signs at the entrance of each ride.

Do you have life jackets and where can I get one?
Complimentary use of life jackets in various sizes, are available throughout the park. Life jackets are required for guests under 48 inches in the wave pool and we strongly recommend a life jacket for children and non-swimmers. Personal life jackets are acceptable if they are Coast Guard approved.

Do I need to bring my own tube?
No. Personal tubes are not permitted. If an attraction requires a tube, it is provided for you at the Exit of that ride. Water wings, water noodles or other flotation devices are not permitted. Personal life jackets are acceptable if they are Coast Guard approved.

Where are the best places to go with a toddler?
The most popular kiddie attractions are the Little Dipper and Wacky Water Works, both designed exclusively for children under 48 inches and their parents. The Activity Pool, Pirate’s Cove and Endless River could also be an option depending on the interests of your toddler.

Do you allow smoking or alcoholic beverages?
Raging Waters is located inside of Lake Cunningham Regional Park and both facilities are smoke free. Alcohol is not allowed inside Raging Waters and alcoholic beverages are not sold inside the park.

What if my party gets separated?
When you arrive we recommend that you designate a specific meeting spot and check-in times for your group. Choose a landmark in the park that is easy to find such as the plaza fountain.

Who should Lost Parents report to?
Should you become separated from your party, make arrangements for one member of your party to go to the Guest Relations ticket booth located directly inside the Main Entrance. If you need additional assistance finding your child, please contact any Raging Waters Team Member and they can locate a Security Officer to assist you.

What about water safety?
Our Ellis & Associates trained and licensed Lifeguards are stationed throughout the park for proper ride dispatching and guest assistance in pools. A certified EMT is also on site at all times. The staff is here for your safety and service.

Where is the First Aid Station?
The First Aid Station is located next to our Wave Pool. Raging Waters has a certified EMT on site at all times.

Is there shade?
There are umbrellas and lounge chairs available throughout the park on a first come, first serve basis. You may bring in your own chair or a small dome style shade umbrella. Larger structures, such as EZ ups or other tents are not allowed in the park. It is always a good idea to wear sunscreen, whether in the shade or direct sun. We recommend you consider renting one of our private cabanas online before you visit (based upon availability).

Cabana Rentals

What about my eye glasses?
Please check the Safety Rules signage at the entrance of each attraction for more information. It is recommended that glasses not be worn on any attraction.

Do you have changing facilities?
Two restroom locations with changing and shower facilities are located inside the park. One area is located in the main plaza next to the locker rentals and the food court and the other area is located next to the wave pool.

What about my valuables?
Keyless Electronic Lockers are located near the Wave Pool and Main Plaza changing facilities for a nominal fee.

What if I have a disability?
If you have a disability, please visit our Park Rules & Policies Page or please call us at (408) 238-9900 for information regarding accessibility and accommodations. We will share which rides and attractions are appropriate for your abilities and will help you make the most of your visit.

What is your chaperone policy?
We strongly suggest that minors under the age of 18 be accompanied by a parent or adult guardian. The park does not assume any responsibility or liability for unattended minors.

Useful Tips

The following information will help you and your family to have an enjoyable visit at Raging Waters, San Jose:

  • Identify a designated meeting place for those in your party if you become separated. The plaza fountain at the front of the park is a great meeting place.
  • Be sure to apply water resistant sunscreen several times throughout the day. Wear a t-shirt and a hat in between going on slides to help avoid sunburns.
  • Parents with infants: We are extremely concerned about possible glass breakage in our park. Therefore, plastic bottles and containers are available at Guest Services free of charge for your baby's needs. Also, children who wear diapers are required to wear an approved swim diaper for health and safety reasons.
  • To maximize your enjoyment, arrive early. Park opens at 10:30am or 11am on most operating days.
  • Try to plan your meals before 11:30 AM or after 1:30 PM . Make a plan and agree on a meeting place and time throughout your day. This will be extremely helpful should you get separated from your group, as we cannot provide personal paging.
  • Safety signage is located through out the park. Please familiarize yourself with an attraction before you use it.
  • Tubes are provided for all slides that require a tube.
  • All day Locker Rentals are available inside the park. Pay-per-use lockers are available outside the park.
  • Lounge chairs and umbrellas are provided throughout the park for free, however they are available on a first come, first serve basis. The park also provides plenty of natural shade. You are welcome to bring your own chair and small shade or dome style; larger structures such as EZ ups or tents are not allowed.

Safety - Know Before You Go

The Park offers a variety of water-based activities for all ages and all swim levels. Height restrictions are posted for all attractions and enforced. We strongly recommend that Minors (under 18) be accompanied by an adult. Park does not assume any responsibility or liability for unattended minors.

Only you know your own, your child's, or anyone you are supervising level of swimming skills. We strongly recommend all Guests under 48" or who are weak or non-swimmers wear Coast Guard approved life jackets where appropriate. In the wave pool, all guests under 48" are REQUIRED to wear a life jacket and be accompanied by an adult. We insist that parents keep their children within arms-reach for their close supervision on all water activities. Life jackets are available free of charge throughout the park. When in doubt, wear a life jacket!

Diving is not permitted in any pool or attraction at the park.

Proper swimwear must be worn on all rides and attractions. No street clothes, no shoes and no bathing attire with buckles, belts, rivets, metal or cut-off jeans permitted. Shirts and shorts are permitted on most attractions. (Bombs Away requires swimsuits only, no metal, no sunglasses, no shoes, etc.) For guest safety, no masks, snorkels or swim fins please. See Dress Code and Code of Conduct below.

VIRGINIA GRAEME BAKER POOL AND SPA SAFETY ACT - On December 19th 2008 the Virginia Graeme Baker Pool and Spa Safety Act went into effect. This new law requires VGB Compliant Pool Drain Grates. We are VGB Compliant but please note in some applications these grates have a raised profile off the floor as mandated by the Law. Warning: Raised Grate - All of our raised grates have a red circle highlighting their location. They are designed to be stepped on but in shallow water situations they may pose a tripping hazard.



Cash and Valuable Items
Believe it or not, every day we have guests who take their car keys with alarm pads for a swim. Many electronic keyless entries will not work after getting wet. So, please use our lockers for ALL your valuables, as we do not take responsibility for the loss of any of your valuables.

Prohibited Items
Raging Waters, San Jose is concerned about your safety. Therefore we do not allow any outside food or beverages or glass of any kind to be brought inside the waterpark. However, sealed plastic bottles of water are permitted. For your enjoyment we have a small picnic area located on the outside of the park on a first come, first serve basis. No weapons, knives or sharp objects are allowed on Raging Waters, San Jose property. We also do not allow any coolers or pets inside the park.

Dress Code and Code of Conduct
The following regulations are for the safety of our guests and employees and apply to all guests regardless of age, sex, religion, race, color, or creed. Failure to comply with any part of the dress code may result in ejection from the park without refund. For your safety, Raging Waters reserves the right to physical inspections of any items carried in or out of the Park.

  • Traditional swimwear is required on all attractions. To ensure a safe and enjoyable family environment, provocative or thong swimwear is not allowed.
  • Long pants, cut-offs, swimwear with rivets, belts, metal ornaments, foot wear and eye ware are not permitted on any slides.
  • Children in diapers and those being toilet trained must wear approved swim diapers in the water. Swim diapers are available for purchase at the Oasis Gift Shop.
  • Guests may not display anything that contains obscene, foul, profane, illegal or unacceptable language, photos, images, symbols, phrases, etc.
If your clothing or swimwear does not comply with these regulations, appropriate attire is available for purchase at the Oasis Gift Shop.
